June 20

Today was "gem" hunting day.  We left Homer and went to three beaches to the North.  We started at the farthest North which was Captain Cook State Park and worked our way back to  Soldotna.

We drove back to Sandy's Uncle Gary's fishing place (cottage), in Soldotna.  Gary prepared a super dinner of halibut, with smoked Salmon and all the fixens. We had an excellent meal, a walk around the area and an interesting discussion around the campfire.
